  1. Adrift: Starring Shailene Woodley and Sam Claffin, Adrift tells the true story of a couple fighting the ocean for survival. The couple get stranded in the middle of Pacific Ocean without any navigation or communication tools, and the movie tracks how they navigate to Hawaii. Produced by STX Entertainment under STXfilms and directed by celebrated Icelandic director BaltasarKormákur, the movie is scheduled to hit the screens on June 1, 2018.

Zombie Brother on the Big Screen: Recently STX Entertainment announced that they are collaborating with Tencent Pictures and Free Association to co-produce movie adaptation of the mega hit Zombie Brother. For those who know, Tencent Pictures is the film and and television division of China’s internet and social media giant Tencent, and Free Association is a production house established by Channing Tatum, Reid Carolin and Peter Kiernan which released 22 Jump Street and the Magic Mike films. It will be fun to see what Bob Simonds and other geniuses together create for the audiences with this project.

  7. Ugly Dolls Movie:A 2015 article about STX Entertainment and Robert Simonds in Variety reported that the studio is working on a movie based on the brand Uglydoll. This would be the studio’s first family and animation project. While there is not much information available about the movie’s cast, plot or other details, it is definite that it will feature the famous rapper Pitbull’s voice. Pitbull is also working on an original song for the movie. It is expected to hit the screens sometime in 2019.
