An Important Farming Element Rice Husk Ash

RHA Manufacturers

RHA is limited when talked about in the context of natural occurrence. Countries like Burma, China, and Norway exports RHA and other related products on large scale quantities as being the leading manufacturers of RHA worldwide. Developed countries like USA and UK are producing RHA in great amount and making a mark in the competition of Rice Husk Ash Manufacturers .

Do You Know What is a  Rice Husk & Rice Husk Ash?

During milling that is processing of paddy in industrial units a component or element of rice is produced and is termed as Rice husk. When subjected to processing furnace after extracting from field, the paddy produces rice. During this processing one more component is produced which is Rice Husk. This Rice husk produced is used as a fuel in boilers for processing paddy. Power generation is another work for which Rice Husk is used. Rice Husk Ash is subsequent component which is produced with the burning of Rice Husk and is about 25% of the weight of the Rice Husk burned. Rice Husk Ash or popularly termed as RHA consists Amorphous Silica because of which it makes Rice Husk harmful for the surrounding environment and place where it is dumped.

Use of RHA

With Amorphous Silica as a component RHA becomes an agent responsible for the formation of different kinds of varieties and that too of better quality. But it is considered a harmful material for the environment and thus a number of measures are being taken to dump it in eco-friendly manner and commercial use of RHA can be promoted. Using RHA best possible cement mixes are prepared which are being used in constructing dams, bridges, buildings, marine ecosystem and also in thermal power plant.

Use of RHA in Other Operations

RHA is also used in manufacturing micro silica or amorphous silica both of which are essential for various industrial manufacturing operations and other processes which are listed below:
  1. High performance concrete
  2. Manufacturing of bio fertilizers
  3. Making of specialty paint
  4. Waterproofing chemicals
  5. Insulators
Are You Aware About These Statistics!
  1. RHA is 25% of the weight of the rice husk burned in boilers.
  2. Annual production of RHA is about 70 million tons.
  3. About 85%-90% of RHA component is Amorphous Silica.
  4. When 1000 kg of paddy milled or processed then 220 kg of husk is produced and on burning this 220kg of husk about 55 kg of RHA is produced.
  5. With the shortage, the price of silica fumes has risen up to US$ 500 per ton.
Methodology for Production

Best and the most advanced technological methods are used in the production process of RHA. Specially Designed blast furnacewhich are of set temperaturesand default settings are used and operated by skilled personals for its manufacturing.
