A South – Korean multinational conglomerate company, Samsung has been in the market since time immemorial. They have been the world’s largest information technology company, and the world's 14th-largest life insurance company. They have also been ranked the world’s 15th-largest advertising agency. Year on year, Samsung electronics has made sure that they provide an improvised version of what they already have before. Samsung’s flagship mobile handset line has been the Samsung Galaxy S. Being the first device of the third Android smartphone series produced by Samsung, its legacy has been carried on till today. The latest update on this model has been the Samsung Galaxy S6.
Samsung Galaxy S6 is constructed using the unibody frame which is made of aluminium alloy 6013. Moreover, the body also contains a glass backing. Besides that, the speaker grill of the model has been shifted to the bottom portion of the device. It weighs 138 grams (4.87 oz) in total and its dimensions extend up to 142.1 x 70.1 x 7 mm (5.59 x 2.76 x 0.28 in). The device was made available at the beginning of April in four different colours namely, “White Pearl”, “Black Sapphire”, “Golden Platinum” and “Blue Topaz.” With a 7mm thickness, this surely stands out to be the phone of the year.
The display is QHD (2560x1440) and the internals have been installed with an Exynosocta-core processor alongside 3GB of RAM and 32/64/128GB of storage. A Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen with up to 16M colours, the gadget is also equipped with a Fingerprint sensor (PayPal certified) and Samsung Pay (Visa, MasterCard certified).
The Samsung Galaxy S6 runs on Android 5.0.2 “Lollipop” with Samsung’s TouchWiz software suite which is upgradable to v5.1.1 (Lollipop). It is powered by a 64-bit Exynos 7 Octa 7420 system-on-chip, consisting of four 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57 cores, and four 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 cores, and 3 GB of LPDDR4 RAM. Samsung has used a 14 nm FinFET manufacturing process for the first time. The company stated that it would improve their energy efficiency.The rear facing camera was upgraded to 16 megapixels while the front facing camera was upgraded to 5 megapixels respectively. They have instilled the HTML5 browser.
